Pemurnian dan Penambahbaikan Terhadap Peraturan PSM

Berdasarkan persetujuan yang diputuskan di dalam Meyuarat Jawatankuasa Pengajian Penubuhan Kampus Cawangan, Fakulti, Sekolah, Pusat, Akademik, Institusi/Program Baru/Pengambilan Pelajar Bil 6/2015/2016 dan Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Senat Universiti Bil 3/2017/2018 dan berkuatkuasa pada Semester 1 Sesi 2017/2018 untuk pelajar sediada;
1. Pelajar yang gagal PSM 1 kali ke-2 adalah secara automatik dikehendaki mengulang semula PSM 1 sama ada mengekalkan tajuk yang asal atau tajuk yang baharu.
2. Bagi pelajar yang gagal PSM 2 untuk kali ke-2 dan penyelia mendapati pelajar telah melaksanakan sebahagian daripada penulisannya tetapi masih tidak mencapai standard maka:
a) Pelajar dikehendaki membuat pembetulan mengikut standard yang diarahkan oleh penyelia dan perlu disempurnakan sebelum tarikh akhir markah dimasukkan oleh penyelia di dalam sistem pemarkahan.
b) Pelajar di dalam kategori ini sekiranya lulus pembetulan PSM, pelajar diberi gred lulus D sahaja.
3. Sekiranya pelajar masih GAGAL di dalam Perkara 2 dan pelajar berhasrat mendaftar PSM 2 untuk kali ke-3, perkara ini akan dibincangkan di Jawatankuasa Akademik Fakulti dan pelajar akan di pantau oleh Timbalan Dekan (A&A).
4. Pelajar yang GAGAL PSM 2, buat kali ke-3 berturut-turut adalah dimuktamadkan untuk mendapat KEDUDUKAN GAGAL.
Selection of Supervisor and Submission of FYP Title & Synopsis for FYP 1 Semester II 2017/2018

SELECTION OF FYP SUPERVISOR
All new Final Year Project 1 (FYP 1) students will be required to select their supervisor via Smap online.
Selection of supervisor is on first come first serve basis. Only Fourth Year students (96 credits or more) who have registered for the course BFC 43402 will be able to do so.
The system will open for supervisor selection on 19 February 2018 (Monday) at 9:00 am and close on 24 February 2018 (Thursday) 11.59 pm.
SUBMISSION OF FYP TITLE AND SYNOPSIS
After selecting your supervisor, you will need to meet with your supervisor to discuss your project title and synopsis.
Submit your FYP Title & Synopsis via SMAP Online for approval by your Supervisor and the Head of Engineering Panel by 3 Mac 2018 (Saturday).

Complex Problem Solving (CPS) in FYP

Submission and Assessment of CPS Form (FYP 1)
The CPS form must be submitted and presented by the student during the FYP 1 Seminar only. The form will be assessed by the Examination Panel (5%). A quick guide on filling up the CPS form is given in attachment.
Assessment of Demonstrated CPS (FYP 2)
The student is not required to submit the CPS form again during FYP 2. However, CPS will still be assessed by the Examination Panel (5%), based on the student's demonstrated CPS via the Draft Final Report.

Students must submit TWO (2) hardcopies of their Project Proposal (FYP 1) or Draft Final Report (FYP 2) as follows:

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm ; 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Venue: Bilik Mesyuarat 3, FKAAS
Please take note of the following:
FYP 2 students must submit their Technical Paper to their Supervisor only.
Note: FYP students are reminded to hand in drafts of their reports to their supervisor for reviewing during Weeks 10 to 11, and not wait until Week 12.

Submission of Hard-bound Final Report and Technical Paper

HARD-BOUND FINAL REPORT
FYP 2 students must prepare three (3) hard-bound copies of their Final Report that comply with writing and binding formats stipulated in the UTHM Thesis Writing Guide. All copies must be verified by the Supervisor. Also, complete the form on page 40 of the FYP Logbook.
FYP 2 students must also submit one (1) printed copy and one (1) softcopy (in CD) of their Technical Paper that complies with the technical paper format. Submit to Pusat Sumber FKAAS (Level 1).
Submission dates for both the Hard-bound Final Report and the Technical Paper is on 24 & 25 June 2018 (Sunday and Monday) at the following times:
Sunday and Monday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
